Context

The existing OTP screen was built for a single use case. But as Zepto introduced multi-shipment flows and

varied delivery experiences, the design started showing its limitations—both in structure and scalability.

Problem

Couldn’t easily support multiple deliveries in one order UI was cluttered and rigid Hard to reuse across use cases like scheduled deliveries, returns, etc.

Goal

Make the OTP screen more adaptable and future proof while

also cleaning up the UI for better clarity and faster user actions.

What I did

Redesigned the UI to support multiple shipment validation in a cleaner flow

Improved hierarchy and feedback states for smoother OTP entry

Collaborated with devs to build flexible components that could plug into different

flows easily, ensuring smooth handoffs and faster implementation.

Thoughtful critique of the Old design

Hierarchy issues – timer, avatar, and

promotional banners all feel equally loud

Cluttered UX – lots of noise makes

it harder to focus on the order status

Showcasing multiple shipment

here might be overwhelming

Dark UI with bright accents can be

harder to scan for users

Process

✍️ Started with few mindless explorations, playing around with information hierarchy, structuring, font weights, alignments etc.,

Redefined the information hierarchy on the cart page
Prioritized ETA and order status at the top, followed by supporting details.
The goal was to improve readability while keeping the UI clean and focused.

ETA Card Explorations

Showing multiple shipments Explorations

Final UI

Clear visual hierarchy

time + status are bold and separated cleanly

Message from delivery partner is contextual and humanizes the journey

More mature visual tone – flatter illustrations & whitespace improve readability

Shipment-based clarity – support for multiple shipments is now structured

Making order tracking a little more joyful
